Adoption is a dream symbol that can have many different meanings. It can represent the need to be accepted, the desire for a family, or the need to take on new responsibilities. It can also represent a change in life circumstances or a new beginning. Adoption dreams often reflect feelings of insecurity and fear of being rejected.

The Need to Be Accepted

One of the most common interpretations of adoption dreams is that they represent the need to be accepted and loved. The dream may be telling you that it’s time to find a place where you feel accepted and appreciated.

The Desire for a Family

Another popular interpretation of adoption dreams is that they represent the desire for a family. This could be related to wanting to start a family of your own, or it could be related to wanting to find someone who will love and accept you unconditionally. The dream may be telling you that it’s time to open yourself up to the possibility of finding someone who will love and support you.

The Need to Take on New Responsibilities

Adoption dreams can also represent the need to take on new responsibilities. This could be related to taking on more responsibility at work or in your personal life. The dream may be telling you that it’s time to step up and take on more responsibility in order to achieve success.

  1. I had a dream that my parents adopted another adult, which is strange for them for MANY different reasons. For one: they expressed no desire for more kids, two: she was white. None of my siblings really talked to her, but I did and acted VERY familiar with her (and she with me). It was strange as I usually am the observer in dreams, but I was actively walking hand-in-hand with this woman and defending her as if I knew her for YEARS. I’m somewhat introverted, can’t imagine being this close to any stranger at all

    1. Your dream of your parents adopting another adult, despite it being unusual and unexpected, can symbolize your open-mindedness and acceptance of people who are different from you or your family’s usual preferences. It may suggest that you have a compassionate and empathetic nature, capable of forming connections with others despite any initial barriers or differences.

The fact that you were actively walking hand-in-hand with this woman and defending her as if you knew her for years indicates a strong sense of loyalty, support, and friendship. It implies that you possess a genuine willingness to connect with others on a deeper level, even if you typically identify as introverted.

This dream may reflect your capacity for personal growth and expanding your social circles. It could signify a willingness to embrace new experiences and relationships, allowing you to break out of your comfort zone and form connections that enrich your life.

Overall, this dream can be seen as a positive affirmation of your ability to connect with others, show kindness, and embrace diversity. It suggests that you have a strong capacity for building meaningful relationships, even with individuals who may seem unfamiliar or different at first glance.
